Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using the Logos application and website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of another person (for example, an ageing relative), you confirm you are authorised to do so — see our Consent & Capacity Addendum.

2. What Logos is — and is not

Logos is a tool to help families coordinate care and to provide gentle companionship and reminders. Logos is not a medical device, not a medical or emergency service, and does not provide medical, clinical, or professional advice. It must not be relied upon for medical decisions or in emergencies. See the Medical Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to hold an account. The Service is intended to support the care of adults.

4. Accounts and the care circle

• You are responsible for keeping your login secure.
• A care circle is a shared space. Members see information according to their assigned role. You agree to use access responsibly and only for legitimate caregiving.
• Misuse of the Service to surveil, control, coerce, or harm another person — including the cared-for person — is strictly prohibited and may result in termination. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Subscriptions and billing

• Logos offers a free tier and paid subscriptions (e.g. Family Plus, Family Premium).
• Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. Prices are shown in the App. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the relevant store before the renewal date.
• Refunds are handled according to the applicable app store's policies.
• We may change prices with notice; changes apply to future billing periods.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse or attempt to disrupt the Service; use it unlawfully; upload content you have no right to share; attempt to access other users' data; or use the Service to harm, harass, or unlawfully monitor any person.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of content you provide (memories, recordings, notes). You grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for having the right to share content about others, including recordings and photographs.

8. AI features

AI features assist with transcription, summarisation, translation, and reminders. They may occasionally be inaccurate. Always verify important information. No AI output should be treated as medical, legal, or professional advice, and nothing is actioned without human confirmation.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or discontinue features. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or suitable for any particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outcomes arising from reliance on the Service for medical or emergency purposes, which it is not designed for.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect users.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
