1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Logos ("we", "us", "our") provides a family caregiving and companion application (the "App") that helps families coordinate care for an ageing relative, and — in certain features — supports a person living with early-stage cognitive decline. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to the App, the Logos website, and related services. It does not apply to third-party services you may link to.

2. The people this policy concerns

Logos involves several types of user within a shared "care circle": - The cared-for person (the "Primary User") — often an older adult, who may in some cases be living with cognitive decline. - Caregivers and family members — the people who coordinate care. - Trusted contacts — invited people with limited access.

Where the Primary User may lack full capacity to consent, please also read our Consent & Capacity Addendum, which explains how consent is obtained and revisited.

3. Information we collect

You provide directly: - Account details: name, email, phone number, password (stored hashed). - Care circle information: relationships, roles, and invitations. - Health-related information you enter: medications, dosages, schedules, appointments, care tasks, and notes. This is "special category" / sensitive data and is treated with heightened protection. - Life-story content (in companion features): memories, milestones, photographs, and voice recordings the Primary User or family choose to save. - Emergency and safety information: emergency contacts, and — only if you enable it — a designated "Safe Zone" for wandering alerts.

Generated when you use the App: - Voice input you speak to the App, which is transcribed to text. - Usage and device information: app version, device type, diagnostic logs. - If you enable location features: location data used solely to power Safe Zone alerts.

We do not collect payment card details directly — subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, governed by their terms.

4. Why we use your information (and our lawful basis)

We rely on explicit consent for sensitive data and for optional features such as location and voice storage. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 9).

5. Artificial intelligence and how it is used

Certain features use AI to transcribe speech, summarise or translate documents, draft tasks for your confirmation, and help retrieve saved memories. Important limits: - Logos never makes medical, diagnostic, or treatment decisions. AI features summarise and translate; they do not advise. See our Medical Disclaimer. - Nothing is created or actioned automatically without a human confirming it. - AI processing is performed by trusted sub-processors (see Section 7). We do not permit your personal data to be used to train third-party AI models.

6. Voice recordings

Where you choose to save a voice recording (for example, a Primary User telling a life memory), we store both the audio and its transcription. You may delete any recording at any time. If you prefer, you may use features without saving audio. Voice data is never sold and never used for advertising.

7. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal data.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country, including by sub-processors in the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Agreement. [Detail per final architecture.]

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. You may: - Edit or delete medications, memories, recordings, and other content in the App. - Delete your account and associated data from within the App (Settings → Account → Delete account). We explain what happens to shared circle data when a member leaves. - Withdraw consent for optional features (location, voice storage) at any time. - Contact us at [privacy@logos.app] to exercise any right. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

10. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within [30/90] days, except where we must retain limited records for legal reasons. Saved voice recordings are retained until you delete them or close the account.

11. How we protect information

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls scoped to the care circle, and industry-standard safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and regulators of qualifying breaches as required.

12. Children

Logos is intended for adults (18+). It is designed to support the care of older adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will notify you of material changes in the App and update the effective date above.
